Woof woof woof! My name is Ivanhoe and I am a four-year-old Boston Terrier mix. In June 2005 I was languishing in the Spalding County pound. The Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee sent Kristi Rowell to retrieve me, and she arrived just before my time ran out. The original plan was for me to go to a foster home, but one look in my warm brown eyes and enormous ears melted Kristi's heart. My personality soon shone through. My eagerness to learn and my steady disposition made me a fine assistant dog rescuer. I earned my AKC Canine good citizen designation in October 2006, and Kristi and I registered as a therapy dog team in January 2007. I show my appreciation for being rescued by serving as a therapy dog with Paws for Him visiting nursing homes and reading with children at the Jackson-Butts Co. Library in the READing Paws program.
