Woof!  My name is Kool Joe! 

I’m six years old.  I’m a chocolate Labrador retriever.  (Actually, I’m brown, so I don’t know why they say I’m chocolate .  . .  that makes me hungry!)  My Mom says chocolate is not good for me, so I don’t even know what it tastes like! 

My favorite thing in the whole world is to chase balls.  I’m CRAZY about balls!  I also like to swim, and if I can swim to retrieve a ball in the water . . . well, I’m in doggy paradise.

Lately, Mom has been taking me to nursing homes, libraries and schools and I’m meeting lots of special people!  Sometimes, kids read to me and that is really fun.  Maybe you can read to me one day!  I’d like that!

I have three sisters that I live with.  Annie is a chocolate lab, like me.  She’s three years old.  We play a lot and chase each other in the yard.  My other sisters are cats – Meshack and P.K.  They don’t really like to play with me, so once in a while, I poke them with my cold nose, just to remind them that I’m here.
