My name is Riley, and I'm a Pembroke Welsh corgi.  (I'm also a wee bit Irish, since my birthday is on Saint Patrick's Day!)  I was born in upstate New York, and when I was 3 months old I flew to Montana, where I lived for 5 years and grew a really heavy coat to keep me warn in the winter!

When I was 5 I moved to Florida (my 2nd plane ride!).  I began shedding my heavy Montana coat, because I certainly don't need it here!  I live with my corgi sister, Pippin, and I really enjoy playing with my toys, chasing the little lizards, and watching the birds in the lake behind our house.

But I needed a job, and I was happy when my friend Maggi taught me some obedience skills.  We passed our Delta Society Pet Partner evaluation and became a R.E.A.D. team, and now the highlight of my life is going to school and having the kids R.E.A.D. to me.  I hear some great stories and learn new words almost every week.
